Miniature Pinscher Facts and Miniature Pinscher Information
74
The Miniature Pinscher or Min Pin is a type of Toy Breed, which originated in Germany from a mix of dog breeds like the German Pinschers, Dachshunds, and Italian Greyhounds. Although these Toy Dogs are often thought to be simply Mini Doberman Pinschers, that's actually in fact false. Miniature Pinschers and Doberman Pinschers are however both heavily related to German Pinschers, so these two native German canines still bare close bloodlines and ancestry to one another.
The first recording of Minpins in history is believingly from a painting in Paris, France that is dated back to the year of 1640. The more modern versions of the Miniature Pinscher were actually developed not until a bit later in history, roughly around the 1800's in Germany. It wasn't until 1870 though that the energetic Min Pins were truly recognized by Germany as an official purebred dog breed.
Then, in 1929 Mini Pinschers made their way as an acknowledged purebred dog breed in the United States and the Miniature Pinscher Club of America was first formed. Today, Miniature Pinschers are still a common well known dog breed that is relatively popular in the United States and parts of Europe, but more recently the Minpin dog has become especially favorable in much of Great Britain.
Mini Pinscher Personality, Dog Training, Care, and Guard Dog Abilities
Miniature Pinscher Temperament
The Miniature Pinschers are spunky, assertive, playful, busy, and confident canines that have very distinct and bold personalities to this Toy Breed. Often times, it seems as though Min Pins are completely oblivious to their incredibly small sizes, and with their huge personalities they get some sort of sense that they are in fact the size of an actual Doberman Pinscher. Because of this trait, the Miniature Pinscher makes an outstanding guard dog. If someone were to try and break into your house, have no fear an alarm will go off! These little Miniature Pinschers will make sure that everyone in the house knows that there's something going on. Thanks to their high pitch, noisy barks their warning alarms will not go unheard.
Mini Pinscher Dog Training
Mini Pinschers might seem a bit self absorbed at times, but do not be mistaken; Min Pins are affectionate loving canine companions that will stick loyally by your side. Another, pro to this Toy Dog Breed's personality is that they're very intelligent tiny devils. Miniature Pinschers respond incredibly well to dog training and are obedient pets.
Minpin Dog Care Information
Min Pins are a dog breed in which is very easy to care for, and suite both the Urban and City lifestyles impeccably well. Thanks to the Miniature Pinscher's fine, short, sleek coats, these dogs require minimal to practically no grooming on your part, other than the occasional bath or quick brush up that is. If you're a person who doesn't have the time or patience to spend laboring hours and hard earned cash paying for a large dog breed, you should definitely look into buying a Miniature Pinscher. These dogs are inexpensive to care for, eat very little, and only need a nice 30 minute walk every day in order to stay healthy.
Miniature Pinscher's Coat, Appearance, Health, and Life Span
Miniature Pinscher Coats
Miniature Pinschers have short, thin, firm, shiny coats that come in color variations of chocolate, black, and blue with contrasting tan markings that situate themselves on areas and sections of the eyebrows, muzzle, cheeks, forearms, paws, shoulders, stomach, legs and parts of the belly. Minpins are also found in other coat colors of solid stag reds and clear reds without any tan markings on their bodies.
The Mini Pinschers Appearance and Build
Miniature Pinschers are a small dog breed that generally stand on withers between 10 inches and 12 inches in height; the Minpin dogs should weigh somewhere from 8 pounds to 10 pounds. This Toy Breed has slightly deeper chest when compared to their relatively thin waists, but generally speaking these canine companions have square shaped bodies and overall compact square builds. Miniature Pinscher dogs are small boned and bare slightly long legs that connect to tiny delicate paws that are delicate and feminine like that of a cat. Traditionally, the Min Pin dog breed have their tails docked for a cleaner cut and more confident appearance, but occasionally these Toy Dogs will have their tails left all natural.
Minpins Facial Features
Min Pins have high set tapering narrow heads, and triangular standing, almost bat-like ears. The Miniature Pincher dogs eyes are alert, large, and round. This Toy Breed canine carries dark eyes that come between colors of opaque solid browns and lighter clear-like tan browns. The Minpin dogs have moderately short, strong muzzles and black to blackish brown noses.
Miniature Pinscher Life Span and Health
Generally speaking, Minpins are a healthy purebred dog breed that live an average life span of roughly 12 and a half years to 14 and a half years of age. The Mini Pinscher is however prone to having a very low tolerance to cold weather due to their extreme lack of any body fat. Because of this, Miniature Pinscher dogs should not be kept to live outside. If you live in a city or area that has cold winters, make sure to put plenty of thick doggy clothing on your little canine companion so that he or she doesn’t get sick or catch a cold.

Mini Doberman Pinschers thought or fact is false. Miniature Pinschers and Doberman Pinschers are most powerful breed..............
I have had the joy of raising a Min Pin for just about two years now. I have done a lot of research on the breed because I have never heard of them, yet still demanded on getting one because of how dang cute they are! I lucked out because this is the best breed for me, by far! Training may seem difficult at times, but if you put in any effort at all, you will be proud and happy with the results! (assuming you do short training sessions of five minutes or less and always end them with something they CAN do, so that they earn a treat and do not become frusterated)
This is the BEST Min Pin temperment site I have ever seen!
