The Top 10 Cutest Dog Breeds

Updated on July 26, 2012

Dogs are irresistible animals that are down right adorable, but which dogs breeds are the cutest? Here are my picks for the top 10 cutest dog breeds.

10. Weimaraner

Although they're not as popular as they were a few decades ago, this German dog breed is still gorgeous regardless of popularity. Weimaraners are stunning dogs namely because of their striking eyes that range from shades of greens to bright silvers. Their beautiful coats come in shades of light chocolate browns to dove grays; this is just another reason why Weimaraners come in at number 10 on the countdown.

9. The Pembroke Welsh Corgi

Pembroke Welsh Corgis are not only intelligent dogs, but they're cute and cuddly too with their fox like faces, over sized ears, long bodies, and those short stubby legs.

8. Jack Russell Terrier

Jack Russells have the best of both worlds of appearance and character. They're a physically adorable dog breed with personalities just as cute which is why the Jack Russell makes it as number 8 in the top 10 cutest dog breeds.

7. Yorkshire Terrier

There's a reason why Yorkshire Terriers are such beloved dogs, and many consider this reason to be largely due to theYorkie being so dang cute with their silky coats, large child-like eyes, and small size.

6. Golden Retriever

Golden Retrievers are one of the world's most popular breed of dogs, and it's needless to say what makes Golden Retrievers such a common choice for dog lovers around the world.

5. West Highland White Terrier

Again another terrier breed qualifies for the Top 10 Cutest Dog Breeds countdown. West Highland White Terriers or Westies have soft gorgeous white coats contrasting with dark solid blackish brown eyes. Not only are they physically attractive, but they have the personalities to equally go with it.

4. Siberian Husky

Siberian Huskies come in all types of variations that make these Eskimo dogs so physically appealing in more than just one way. Perhaps the main reason why Siberian Huskies are so popular is probably due to their appearance.

3. English Cocker Spaniel

Their expressions are of the quintessential classic puppy dog face. Their ears are long and droopy, and their coats are simply gorgeous. This is why English Cocker Spaniels come in at number 3.

2. The Irish Setter

It's no secret that Irish Setters are one of the most beautiful dog breeds with their striking shiny red haired coats and lovable faces. On top of that, they're by far one of the most loving and loyal breed of dogs in the world.

1. The Border Collie

Anyone who knows dogs, knows that Border Collies are hands down the smartest of them all. They're the rocket scientists of the dog world, and not only are their brains useful, but they help attribute to why Border Collies are such attractive canines. Their attentive facial expressions say it all, and when you look into their eyes, you just can't help but to fall in love.
